Whitewalker

Here at Whitewalker we believe in staying true to the breed and its purpose. Alaskan Malamutes are  powerfully built, strong dogs designed for pulling heavy loads and working as a team.

We love nothing more than to train our dogs in as many working diciplines as we can, from taking load while out walking, taking part in weight pulling events, trekking over long distance and racing for fun. We also backpack with them too, another great discipline and the perfect bonding time with our fur kids.

About Us

We are a small working and showing kennel located in the Lake District in Cumbria and have owned Alaskan Malamutes since 2011. We  currently own eight Alaskan Malamutes.

They are our family pets first and foremost and when they aren't causing mischief outdoors, they live in the house with us.

We are heavily involved in the working elements of the breed here in the UK. We currently organise sled dog rallies in the north of England and southern Scotland and spend our annual holiday in Sweden, running our dogs.

Showing is something we really enjoy doing in the warmer  months when we are not able to work the dogs very much.

We have achieved some amazing results in the show ring varying from multiple class wins, Stud Book Numbers, Challenge Certificates (CC's), Reserve Challenge Certificates (RCC's), Best of Breeds and also 2 UK Champions and a Danish Champion!

Both of us are members of the AMCUK (Alaskan Malamute Club of The UK) and abide by their code of ethics.

We will only breed a litter if we are breeding for ourselves and wish to add to our pack.

Alaskan Malamutes are truly a magnificent breed that we live and breath for.  There are many great rewards and benefits to owning Alaskan Malamutes, but we really do stress that you research as much as possible about them before deciding if they are the right breed for you. (click here to view our breed information page). We are more than happy to offer help or advice if you have any questions.... and if we don't know the answers, we will know someone that does! Please enjoy looking around the website and if you have any questions relating to Health, Working, Breeding, Showing or just in general about Malamutes then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
